My photography started out as a way to document my travels. I love traveling and I started going on trips to national parks and scenic areas throughout the western United States. After awhile, I wanted some way to preserve my memories of these amazing places, so I got my first serious camera. Initially my photographs were purely documentary and I was even against editing because I saw it as corrupting the images. However as I started studying other people's photos, I saw the tremendous potential of editng and taught myself it. From that my images became more of an art, rather than the purely documentary style I started from.
