This is me, taken by me, doing two of my favorite activities -- photography and hiking (my other favorite activity is traveling). I am lucky I can do all three at the same time.

My love for the places I visit in my many trips (over 35 national parks and monuments and many western states) has driven my photography. It is what rekindled my interested in photography after taking bad snapshots while growing up. I believe it is my strong love for the places I have visited that is reflected in my images.. and part of my soul as well.

My pictures were never meant for anyone's eyes other than my own, they were meant to try to capture the places so I could remember them better.
It is still both shocking and humbling that others like my images, as they are very personal and reflect back on me, I believe.

I hope you enjoy looking at my pictures as much as I enjoy visiting the places and taking them, but I doubt it... :-)
